Maceio, Brazil
Maceio, capital of Alagoas state, has a beautiful coast where a row of in-town beaches and most of the city's hotels and restaurants are situated. Maceio is on the tip of a curved peninsula, the ocean beaches on one shore and a lagoon - Lagoa do Mundau - on the other immediately to the south of Maceio's downtown area. The beautiful beaches include Pajucara, Ponta Verde, Jatiuca and Praia de Cruz das Almas. A good range of hotels, pousadas and resorts are available.
